Oakland UpCycle

Oakland Upcycle is a Cycles of Change program that connects East Bay residents with affordable, reliable, emission-free, active transportation.

By providing bicycle safety education, refurbished bicycles, and equipment, participants are empowered with the confidence and ability to utilize cycling to navigate their everyday transportation needs in an urban environment.

UpCycle-Recycle Urban Cycling Safety Class

How it Works:

Participants will enroll in a four-hour urban cycling safety class. We ask participants to attend entire the class.

Participants must complete the enrollment form to attend the class. This will give staff the necessary time to prepare the equipment needed for the class.

The class will meet in-person for a 4-hour training. This day will allow participants to implement the concepts covered in the class and will include on-the-road training and a group ride.

How can I enroll?

Depending on which program you are referred from.
